Carers Week 2025
A carer is someone who provides unpaid care to a family member/friend who has a disability, illness, mental health condition, addiction or is needing extra support.
65% of people in the UK will provide care in their adult life, which means you, or someone you know, may already need support.

Carers UK say that; “Social Services and the NHS rely on carers’ willingness and ability to provide care. Without the support of unpaid carers, these systems would collapse.” ![]()
This year’s theme is ‘Caring About Equality,’ which focuses on the inequalities faced by unpaid carers. These include a higher risk of poverty, social isolation, and poor mental and physical health.
